With a National Lockdown starting 5th November, there are some things to consider and to get in place. Statements from the Government site are in Italic.
Going to work
To help contain the virus, everyone who can work effectively from home must do so.
This means a change to the contract for those not already working from home. It will also need a Risk Assessment to be undertaken. If one had been done previously, ensure it is re-checked for any changes needed.

Furlough Ends on 31st October – What’s next?
The Job Retention Scheme closes at the end of October, so now is the time for identifying what the next steps are and consulting with staff.

As Furloughs End – Next Step the ‘Job Support Scheme’
As I write this the Chancellor is just unveiling the next steps to support businesses, open to all SME’s not just those previously using the Furlough Scheme. The scheme is to enable short time working, with a view to reducing the potential spike in redundancies in Octboer.
